I recently put a fresh install of windows Xp on my computer and formatted the hard drive. I'm in the process of installing all the new drivers. When I go to my device manager, I've managed to install all the drivers except for my Ethernet Controller and Universal Serial Bus (USB) controller. Those two have question marks. Which and where are those drivers?
This is where I went for all my other drivers: BTW, I opened up the computer and it looks like it says Foxcon on the ethernet controller. Thanks so much for your help. You installed the drivers out of order. The USN and LAN depend on the Chipset and so the Chipset driver should be installed FIRST. It should be the first thing you do after installing Windows.
At the moment Windows contains the drivers but their installs didn't complete properly because the chipset wasn't 'there' when the install routine ran. Not the the chipset driver is in. Go into device manager and delete everything with a yellow?
They should be detected again and it will reinstall the drivers. Thank you for your help. I went into the device manager and uninstalled everything that had a question mark.
Once I rebooted Windows, windows recognized the hardware and asked me if I wanted to install by looking for the drivers off of the internet etc. I canceled those messages and installed the chipset. Then I installed the ethernet controller and I still had the same yellow question marks. I know that when I first went about installing the drivers, there were only 4 under the device manager that had the yellow? They were for the audio, video card, ethernet, and USB. I didn't install in any particular order because I didn't know I had to. I'm wondering if it would be easier just to do another re-install of windows and start over.
If I do that, could you tell me what order of drivers to install and which drivers I need to use. I had to guess which drivers to use because there were too many for me to pick from.
I was just hoping it would work. If one didn't, then I would just install another driver in its place. Adobe After Effects Cs2 Full Download Free. I guess that doesn't work very well though. Thanks for your help. I have gone ahead and re-installed windows and installed the chipset driver first. I was then able to get the ethernet controller to work.
I also have the audio working as well. But I have two yellow? Marks under Other Devices ---- Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller and Video Controller (VGA Compatible). I tried to install the graphics driver and at toward the end of the install I get a message that reads: Error Executing the Specified Program 'c: swsetup SP35952 setup. Exe' I click 'OK' and then it says: Intel Graphics Driver for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP Unable to execute the specified command line! As far as the USB is concerned, should I try the USB to serial converter driver? Also, it has on board video.
