Microsoft Picture It Photo Premium 10 By Wcpss

I have been using Picture It! Photo Premium version 9 for over 2 years on my laptop/Windows 7. Suddenly, today, I get this message ' Cannot display the end user license agreement which must be displayed and accepted before you can use this application.

To display the agreement reinstall the application.' I have tried EVERYTHING to reinstall and get this program to work; can anyone HELP ME!! I've uninstalled, reinstalled, used the compatibility settings and still that message comes up. I want Picture It! Photo Premium 9 again; I do not want an updated version or another program.

Really curious. Why is there 'No Topic of Music, Photos and Video' under Windows 10? I know that the question about Picture It replacement has been asked. I've not seen any suitable responses - maybe because we are just SOL? I have installed no fewer than 10 different - supposedly 'easy to use/simple' - image editing software over the past several days My search criteria has mainly been 'drag and drop image editing software' Not a single one has the quick and simple capabilities of MPI 10 The ability to 'drag and drop' things into place, cut and paste and add text is extremely useful - it's very intuitive.

All of the other software that I've looked at - that claims to be 'easy to use/drag and drop' seems to be trying to emulate PhotoShop - with layers, etc. PLEASE, Microsoft. Bring Back Picture It I had about 8 image editing software prior to my search and Picture It 10 was ALWAYS my starting point. I am now running Windows 10 - 64 bit - on three computers. PI 10 is struggling on one of the PC's. Ncaa Softball Umpire Mechanics Manual Book here. I'd actually consider going BACK to Windows 7 - because of the value and use I get from Picture It 10 if anyone has found a REAL solution - not a well, this was the cheapest I could find that sorta kinda does the job - I will really appreciate the input.

Thanks Karen. As Picture It!

Was rebranded as Microsoft Digital Image in 2003 to be entirely focussed on Photo Editing and then discontinued by Microsoft in 2006 shortly after the release of Windows Vista, I doubt that there are many in the current Windows Development Team that have even heard of it! Plus, it was always a separate commercial product, never a part of the Operating System, which has always included a version of Paint as it's 'basic' offering.

Making suggestions on possible alternatives would depend on the facilities needed, especially as most modern programs are either substitutes for/alternatives to Photoshop, which means they have to compete on features with that software, or they are more advanced versions of the Microsoft Paint type. There's one list with feature comparisons here: MJA Windows Insider, Surface Pro 3, MacBook Pro (VirtualBox + Windows 10). Hi, I too use Picture It but my version is version 9. I managed to install it successfully on both Windows 7 and Windows 10. I would have thought if you have Picture It 10 then that should install too.

I know when I got my Windows 7 machine it was because my old one had crashed and I re-installed Picture It from an old Works Suite 2004 CD I had. (It seems to have been called Microsoft Photo Standard on there). I didn't do anything fancy - because I wouldn't know how! When I upgraded to Windows 10 it was already on my PC and it works just fine (touch wood!). Hope that info helps you get it back.

I too know what I'm doing with Picture It and other programs just seem too complicated. I have been asking similar questions on another page of answers.microsoft.com. See I have received some helpful information, but I haven't had the chance to find a computer guy to attempt to install all that is suggested--looks over my head, so I don't know if it works. I have sent the info to a guy that has assisted me before with my computer, but it may take a while for him to get back to me. I see someone earlier indicated they got Windows 10 and Picture It 10 is working fine. I am baffled by that.

I hope they can elaborate more as I see a lot of people that haven't had the same luck. Also check out this article and let me know what you think. It appears to be on point. Are you saying your Picture It works fine in all respects on Windows 10? From what others have said, basic formatting and photo editing will work, but the creating of PNG files and certain more advanced applications do not work. Can you elaborate how you use the Picture It on your Windows 10 computer? Hi, first let me re-iterate that my version is called 'Microsoft Picture It!

Photo Standard 9' and it came off an old 'Works' cd. Ok, I mostly use it for cropping and re-sizing for the web. The programme has automatic setting for re-sizing for email and web so I don't have to worry about actual dimensions myself. I've just checked it through for you and I can do everything in common tasks; inserting stuff; adding text; formatting; touch-up and effects. As far as creating png files goes, what's hard about that? Just hit 'save as'. That works fine.

I don't know what you are referring to when you say 'certain more advanced applications' so I can't comment. The only thing I can't do, since I got a new printer/scanner, is scan.

It tells me 'this programme is detecting an older version of Twain, please re-install this programme'. As I'm sure you'll understand, I am reluctant to do that! I'm sure it just means it's detecting a version of Twain that it doesn't recognise and re-installing it wouldn't help.

So I have to use something else to scan. Hope I've answered your questions. What I am referring to when I say 'PNG' file, is when you use your cursor to cut out an object (like a person out of a photograph) and put it onto a 'clear' background and save as PNG, which then allows you to take the person you've cut out and place them in another background or photo without all the background in the original photo. Can you do that in your program?

Sorry if I am not explaining it well enough. (I would suspect you can take a jpeg photo and just hit 'save as' and save it as PNG but it will just look the same as a jpeg photo, without any layers.).

I hadn't done anything like that for years, (I used to take flower photos, cut them out and put them on plain black backgrounds), so I just tested it as you described, on to a transparent background and then into a different photo, saving as png's as I went.

The short answer is - yes I can. (I actually didn't know I could have a transparent background until I just tried it, so you've helped me discover this, thank you).
